Dallas has enforced water conservation efforts for years.

Lavon Lake was built expressly as a flood control catchment basin or whatever the engineering term is for a flood control lake. In other words it was literally designed/paid for/built to keep Lake Ray Hubbard and surrounding lands stable from a water perspective.

Sorry, but I really dislike attitudes like this. Just because you can afford something doesn't entitle you to waste it, especially when you're talking about a finite resource.
