Get a quote from them, then get a quote from someone else. Tell Empire about your second quote and then let them keep lowering the price until it just about matches the second quote.

This is what happened when we got our last house ready for sale. They wound up discounting something like 30% or 40% off their original quote.

That's what we plan on doing.
How was the service and the quality ? And where else did you get quotes from?

We would want to try getting it from Lowe's or Home Depot or Lumber Liquidators that we heard it much cheaper than the Emipre.

I also read some reviews of Empire Today that only got 2 stars most reviews about complaint of bad service and rip off price!

We were looking for tile at the same time and found a discount tile store. We asked around at this store and they recommended a contractor who helped us find a Mohawk supplier and who also installed the tile we purchased. We wound up going with her because Empire only installs their own tile.

I was irritated by Empire. We went with Peek's and have been very happy with their work and product.

Bad, bad and bad. All I can say. For carpeting our first floor they started with a quote of $12000 and if we would have said "Yes," that is what we would have paid. Then they went down from there with every "No thank you" we had they went down more. It went down to $3000. So $9000 cheaper then originally quoted....we still did not use them. Did not like the way they do business.

I know this is an old thread, but we asked Empire for a quote and got a price almost three times the amount of the same carpet installed by someone else. This was with their "50% off special". Stay away.
