We have private school applications in for my son for Pre-K at a school that requires CATS testing. I tried doing a search, but didn't find any info. Could anyone share your experience with this testing experience? How long does it take? Where are parents when the testing takes place? What types of things are they looking at and what is included in the final reports?

Posted a similar question a few months back. Got no answers. There's virtually no public information available regarding this test. I believe the parents are asked to wait outside while the child is being "tested". The test runs about an hour. No clue what they are looking for and/or how they test. I would just try to ensure that your son has a good night's sleep, a good breakfast and will be mentally prepared to separate from you.

Here is a link to the test site: Collaborative Academic Testing Service Has a FAQ's section. My kiddo took the test a couple of weeks ago, but we haven't gotten the results back yet. Test took about an hour and was behind closed doors with parents outside. No idea how it is scored.
