I have to chuckle at the newer residents to McKinney that call Faubion on the "east side." Faubion is on the campus of the former McKinney High Campus. It is just a couple of blocks east of 75 which for years marked the far western boundary of McKinney.

East McKinney as in "less desirable, older, poorer McKinney" is east of the square, east of McDonald. Faubion is far from this part of town. Every other middle school that has been built in McKinney is west of 75. The busing that happens is not newer, wealthier west McKinney to blighted east McKinney, it is the reverse. Most of the busing is bringing kids from disadvantaged areas east of McDonald to the newer schools west of 75, and only for middle and high school.

I can't think of any neighborhoods in SBR that are zoned for Faubion, they will all be Evans or Dowell which are both in SBR proper. The only parts west of 75 that are zoned Faubion are Eldorado CC and neighborhoods off of Hardin. And Faubion is not a bad school.
