I currently have Secure Horizons Medicare HMO and it does not work like it used to. I had an event went to Doctors Hospital and all I had was copays for emergency visit and 1 night at hospital but they wont pay the Doctor.

Does Humana do better?

I say this because I work in a hospital. Secure Horizons is fine if all you ever need is to go to the doctor or get a few prescriptions filled. If you need joint replacement, or major surgery, good luck getting them to approve it. Sure, our hospital is "in network" with SH, but they never approve patients to come to us. If you need post-acute rehab, they will send you to a nursing home instead.

I am an insurance agent who sells Medicare Advantage plans. My advice to you would be to appeal the claim and "CC" Medicare (CMS). They really jump on things when you show them that you mean business. PM me if you need more help.
