We are relocating to Dallas and are interested in the Grapevine/Southlake/Flower Mound area. We plan to rent an apartment for a few months so we can sell our current house and find which area is best for our family. However, we have 2 dogs and a cat and the apartments I've found only allow 2 pets. Does anyone know of apartments in our preferred location which allow 3 pets? Thanks!

Well, there are no apartments at all in Southlake, so take that city off your list.

You might have more luck renting a house from an individual landlord. This will also give your dogs more space.

best bet is contact apt locator and see if they know apts that allow 3--
sometimes there is monthly charge for pets--like pet rental vs just a one-time fee
and some apts will not allow dogs of certain breeds or weights--

as she said--you might try to find house/townhouse to rent that would be more flexible but lots of homes won't rent to people with certain types of pets either

plus you don't mention your budget--
flower mound does not have that many apt complexes and they are likely to be medium to more for rental amounts
areas like Bedford or Hurst with older apt complexes might be more amenable--
they are still fairly close to Southlake/Grapevine/Flower Mound general area

Thanks for the input. I think renting a house is our best bet. Until we sell our house we want to keep our rental budget around $3000 and it looks like we can easily do that from the searching I did today.

you shouldn't have any problems finding house for that price--but pets can be problem issue...
will PM a good site for RE info in DFW area and there are rentals listed even though the RE compay sponsoring the site doesn't handle any...
