As I've said in other threads, I love Del Taco at odd hours of the night while intoxicated. Other than that, if you love tummy gurgles and something slightly different from Taco Bell, go there.

How about an UNO's location (for Chicago deep dish pizza) east of DFW airport in the metroplex? Also, IMHO, would love to see Tony Roma's come back. I don't like how the few places that do beef ribs here cook them, would rather have some Tony Roma's beef ribs.

I used to love Round Table. I don't order much pizza nowadays as I don't like any of the places that deliver. Pizza Villa (the anti-chain) is really good when I'm in the mood to go pick it up.

Yeah, Baja Fresh didn't make it. There was one on Plano near Collin Creek. I liked that place, but always thought it was too expensive.

There are a few local places from Atlanta I miss as well, but since they're not chains, I'll leave them out.
How about some Tin Lizzy's and Figo! mmm miss those places!

I think Figo would do amazing in Dallas. there really isn't an Italian concept like it here.

Jucy's Hamburgers

I eat at the one in Tyler every chance I get. There was one here several years ago in Mesquite on Town East Blvd., and I got hooked on their burgers and beans then. Better than anything around here I've tried, and I've tried just about all of them.

Good point...there is not much left to wish for because either it is already here or it is
coming here ...Bloomingdales will be here, it is just a matter of time.I am
very thankful that we decided to
move here.I think that the major metros in Texas really represent the "new economy " we are now living in.If growth is done right and the right kind of jobs keep coming to the metros ,The area is going to be truly fantastic.Yeas it is hot in the summer but then there are weeks like this where it is gorgeous out.I would take that over freezing anyday.Bloomingdales and Trader Joe's are the only places that my family misses from Connecticut.I am thrilled that Trader Joe's will open in West Plano.Spring 2012 is earlier than I expected.Awesome news!

There was a Uno's here at one point....I can't remember exactly where it was but somewhere close to the NorthPark Mall/ Park Cities area. It folded late 1980's / early 1990's.

You kidding about White Castle right? The place is awful, simply awful.

Do you have Nordstrom? Nordstrom is every bit as good as Bloomies. If you have Nordstrom your not missing much by not having Bloomingdales.

Yes, Nordstrom is here. Still, I know that there are some pining for Bloomingdale's.

Bloomingdales is a nice store but I think some want it because it's something "world class" cities (NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, LA) and some smaller metros (Miami, Atlanta, Minneapolis) have. So, Dallas has to have it, too.
