I am a black mother of two who would like to relocate and I wanted to get different perspectives on the best area. I’m considering either Texas or Georgia but I want my children to grow up in a diverse and safe area. Dallas and Austin are two possible prospects but after researching it doesn't appear Austin is as diverse as Dallas. I currently work in the administration education spectrum and hope to find a job in that field. Any input would be greatly appreciated in regards to best school system for elementary schools and best city for jobs in my field. I would like to hear from black professionals in either the Dallas or Austin area as well as other races. Thank you

Dallas is more diverse with a MUCH larger black population, but go wherever you get the job.

I don't think she is trolling. I am curious about the cost of living down there. Is it affordable?
