Hello! Could you all give me an idea of what the Science School at the Museum of Nature and Science is like? What schools do kids that go there for pre-K tend to continue on to? I've looked at their site and it seems great, but I'm curious to get some more feedback based on personal experience, reputation etc. Thank you!

I LOVE this school.

Both of my boys went there. They are now 8 and almost 18. Most of the same staff has been there since my oldest went. What I loved most is that they do not dumb down the curriculum - when they are exploring a certain subject the kids will learn the proper names. The dramatic play section gets changed out for each topic - the kids really love it. They are always engaged.

My kids went into public school. I found the kids came from all over. Some went into local private schools like St Thomas and St Johns.

Thanks for the feedback! It really sounds like a fantastic place for kids to get ready for elementary school.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (and this may be old news to most), but I just recently learned the Science School is closing: Dallas parents say news of Science School closing a surprise | wfaa.com Dallas - Fort Worth

That's sad. We had friends whose kids went there and loved it. And our kiddo has done amazing summer camps taught by Science School teachers. Looks like there are still camps at the Fair Park location for this summer, but does anybody know if summer camps will continue after the move to the new location?

And on a side note, I would guess that the timing of the closing announcement (after the application deadline at most other schools) left some parents scrambling.

The summer camps look great this year. I hope they continue them in the new facility. The Science School was a great start for my boys' education - sad to see it close.
