We are planning to buy a new home in Trails of Glenwood community (grand homes). Can anyone help us with price negotiation with grand homes?

The base price is atleast 20K higher than first texas homes and we would like to know why grand homes is priced this high.

Also the sales agent is not ready to negotiate with the base price of the house (non inventory home).

Is there a difference in the quality of materials used between these two builders?

Search both builders on this list. You'll see that the general consensus is the pricing should be reversed based on quality. Look very closely at the First Texas home, or you might be wise to look at another builder if you don't like their choices...

Grand homes has been discussed here many times due to their bad and poor reputation. First TX Homes is a much better builder,

Do a search.

If you're building from scratch, neither builder will go below the base price.
