We're trying to figure out where we want to live and I was hoping someone very familiar with traffic patterns could help me out.

Let's say I live in Irving on the corner of 161 and 163 on Rainier St

Scenario A:
I want to drive to Forest Ln and Coit Rd. daily, leave home at 6:30am and return back at 7:00pm. Probably I'd go: 161N to 635E Google maps say: 18m, 26 minutes.

Scenario B:
I want to drive to 15th St and West Plano Pkwy in Plano. Probably I'd go: 161N to GB Turnpike. I'd leave at 6:30am and leave to come back at 7pm. Google Maps says 25m, 31 minutes.

Would the traffic be horrible during these times? Is there a train or something that goes exactly along this way to make traveling easier than driving? Any other faster way of getting to these points?

Traffic isn't horrible at those times of day. Just keep in mind that 635 will be under construction for the next 5 years(?) so there may be some delay on occasion.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I looked on Google for public transport but it looks like the only feasible way to get to those places is by car right? I've never taken a train or bus in my life, always have traveled by car. I might take the kids for a train ride some day =D

Google's transit button is the most accurate, so that'd tell you.
