Prosper is a great fit for active retired people. We have empty nesters and retirees in our neighborhood. We love being minutes from every major shopping and entertainment that most people need.It takes 25-30 minutes to get to Dallas Love field airport on the tollway.

Check out the Cotton Gin cafe on the weekends. It is standing toom only on Saturday mornings when many residents come in for breakfast. You will see many empty netrrs and retirees. We have really enjoyed Prosper's small town feel and scenic views, rolling hills and trees.

I have found that many young families choose Frisco or Mc kinney over Prosper. This could be due to Frisco and Mc Kinney being more affordable than Prosper.Lower property taxes, smaller lots and lower home prices in Frisco and Mc Kinney

Love Prosper but the 30 minutes to Dallas and 15 to Plano claim is not believable. To make it in that time you would have to be going Mach 2 with your hair on fire WELL outside of rush hours.

The fact is Prosper is WELL out of it and practically country. It's nice for what it is, but when people talk about being in Dallas in 30 minutes it reminds me of LA people who say Palm Springs is a 60 minute drive from Downtown. It is, in a ferrari, averaging 120mph, at 3am.

Without rush hour traffic it takes me 30 minutes to get to Dallas and 10-15 minutes to Plano on the Tollway.

Prosper borders Mc Kinney and Frisco and I would not consider it country. The area has developed alot in the past few years and there is a mass amount of new home construction and road widening going on right now. While Prosper will never be Frisco or Plano, there are alot of amenity and retail projects planned that are appropriate for the town and that the residents support.

OK, lets call rush hour 7-10am and 3-7:30 pm. So you've got a 5 hour daylight window.

Prosper to the Arts District.

Lets assume you hit all the lights, there are no crashes or roadworks, and you drive aggressively.

Even Google maps says approx. 34 minutes. On a Sunday.

In the real world unless you are very careful or lucky, it is longer than that.

Prosper isn't country country but it is out there. It has its strengths but saying it is a nothing drive into central Dallas is disingenuous, Crew...

I agree with Crew. We are 6 miles from Frisco, which has everything. The drive to Plano is about 15-20 minutes period, I do it regulalry. Also, I can be at the DFW airport in 40 minutes and Dallas in 30-45. Yes, we used to be out in the country, but things change. It would be worth it to come check things out. Thanks
