There may have been a thread on this a long time ago, but these things are always forming and disbanding, so I'm trying to get some current info. I sang in an auditioned, professional-level volunteer choir this year and I LOVED it. I had to quit when my husband went to Dallas for his new job (there goes my childcare for the 3+ hours of rehearsal each week and I couldn't easily travel for the performances, plus I had to simplify with my new single parenting lifestyle and it had to go.) I really want to audition for another one when I get to Dallas, but I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing something. I see the DSO chorus and a couple of other big ones when I google it, but there have to be some that I'm missing. Do you know of any? I just want something that will have a challenging repertoire and other semi-professional level singers.
