Anybody heard of hydrostone for pool resurfacing? Have an offer in & while all the info says "gunite pool", their disclosure says resurfaced in hydrostone--which appears to be associated mainly with---gasp!!!!!--fiberglass!!!! EEEEEK!! Do not want floating pool! Had one in Illinois with a vinyl liner & it was ALWAYS floating off because of the clay soil; we had to stick a sump pump down the inside the liner all the time & then struggle to get it back on right. NOOOOoooo, say it isn't sooooo!

Hydrostone is a type of plaster. Get a quote for pebble tec too. It's a bit expensive but lasts a very long time and looks real nice.

Already done by current owners in 2010--says "resurfaced in Cyman Green Hydrostone." Just do NOT want to get stuck with fiberglass.

Does the current owner not know if the pool is plaster or glass? It should be on the inspection forms required by the city when the pool was built. If it's fiberglass I'd walk.

Welllllll..... they also made the "mistake" of putting "gas dryer hookup" on the listing sheet, where there is no gas whatsoever, so another mistake wouldn't surprise me.

Wow Scooter. That's pretty ridiculous! I'm so sorry you're having so many issues with the house. Good thing you are being thorough!

Um... this is a different one than the owners-texture-painted-over-wallpaper-and-want-to-stay-after-closing one. I'm probably just being paranoid... I hope...

You can stick your hand in the pool and see if it's gunite or fiberglass.
