Hi, I'll be relocating very shortly to work at the VA Medical Center in southern Dallas. I'm looking for a great apartment complex in a safe, well kept neighborhood with a great elementary school/school district. Before and after school care options are important. What surrounding towns are good to check into? What are nice areas nearby and within commuting distance (close to VA or other areas/towns a little farther away)? Any advise anyone could pass along from their experience would be wonderful. Less commute time is better and looking for area where YMCA and/or other youth programming is present. Need good place to raise a child. Thanks for any assistance provided. -Lynn

Wow, we have a lot of folks coming here to work at the VA. I wonder if that's because folks who live here know they are going to have to commute quite a ways to the VA in order to get into a decent neighborhood.
