Very simply - after some research on the subject, I wish to start a basic weight training program in the near future. It would be full body barbell exercises (if you're familiar with "Stronglifts" or Mark Rippetoe's "Starting Strength", that's what I'm looking at). Basically, doing squats, bench presses, deadlifts and a couple other exercises, 5 rep sets.

However, I am a novice to working with free weights. I've got books and internet resources for proper form (and yes, I've done a fair amount of vetting of those sources), but would really like to do at least a little work with a trainer get my form as well-tuned as possible early on in any training. Better to learn it the right way to start and then refine from there than ingrain incorrect habits and have to unlearn them later.

Problem is, the quality of personal trainers is VERY uneven.

So, I know what I'm looking for (a trainer who specializes in strength training with free weights. Not body building, strength training). Anybody have any recommendations. FWIW I'm currently near the Gold's Gym in north dallas on Arapaho, and eventually (hopefully before the fall) plan to live in the Colleyville/Southlake area.

Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations? Feel free to PM me.

Thanks much,
