Parker had some but my car was parked inside my client's garage. Horray for extra third garages!

Everyone seemed very shell-shocked - I have never seen anything like that in Dallas and I have lived here almost all my life - a 75 year-old native said the same thing - she was driving by Tenison Golf Course and the steam off the hail was like fog and the street was covered in leaves, making it difficult to drive.
Glad you checked in. I'm just sick hearing about your window.

I've never seen anything like it, either. I've seen plenty of hail (and hail damage), but this storm just went on and on. It looked like it had snowed. Our hail was described as egg-sized. I know your area got even bigger.

When I saw this photo I realized it was the home of a high school friend (where else but Lakewood do you know a house by the roof rather than the street and address?):

Fortunately he got it covered with tarps before the rain this morning. He is not in a historic nor conservation district - I hope his insurance will pay for tile again - this lasted 80 years or more.

Omagosh, that was scary.I just moved here from California, and haven't been here 3 months. In that time,I have seen LOUD thunder,a 'lock-down' in a ~Best buy~ store due to a tornado threat,gi-normous hail....cuz,like "everything in Texas is BIG" lol....funny thing is...I thought I was terrified in California with the earthquakes.I dunno....I think all powerful weather events are frightening. One of the vehicles in my area is pock marked with hail storm damage.Just wow.

Oh Wolfmoon, you must be a California native! Nothing but earthquakes & wildfires to worry about, no real "weather" to speak of. I too am relocating from California, BUT I'm originally from the Midwest, so I grew up with hail, wind, snow, ice, thunderstorms & tornadoes. We get pretty spoiled in California (esp. Southern), but I think most of the country has a lot of weather issues to deal with now & then. Pretty soon you'll think nothing of it---just like I yawn at earthquakes now, when I used to nearly fall out! Only thing is.... in the Midwest, we went to the basement during tornado warnings--in Dallas (at least the houses I've seen), there are no basements!
