Can anybody recommend good apartments near the DART station along or near Mockingbird in price range of 750 to 825 with close proximity to grocery stores as I will not have a car for 6 months. Im in my mid forties so I dont want a complex overun by college students partying all hours of the day.

The Phoenix is right at Mockingbird Station and next to a big Kroger's. The studio apartments are in the $800-range but the 1 and 2 bedrooms are more.

Phoenix Midtown Apartments: Photos, Floorplans, Availability and Pricing. Address: 5555 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX. Luxury Gables Apartments for Rent.

Also check out the area bounded by Lover's Lane (south of the Village), Greenville Avenue, Skillman and the DART rail/Katy Trail extension to the south. E. University runs through, and there is a "Mustang Express" shuttle to SMU and the Lover's and Mockingbird DART rail stations. There is some redevelopment with new apartments, condos converted from apartments and there are older apartment buildings. Easy walk to Central Market or Tom Thumb.

There are some SMU students but not as many as past years, as it's now popular to live in the Knox-Henderson area. It's a mix of people and ages.
