Hey guys
Could you please provide me information about the safety and population diversity(any concentration of a particular ethnic group) of these areas?

Also how much is the sales tax in Irving/Dallas/TX?

Thanks

That area seems to have large populations of Latinos and southeast Asians, Vietnamese in particular...and it has always had a decent-sized black population. I used to live near Beltline and Country Club and it was a diverse area back then, but it seems to have gone downhill in the last 10 years or so.

Thanks for responding. Which area are you specifically talking about having Latino's and southeast Asians?

I lived in Irving for 30 years, and what he means is that the entire city (other than far north Irving/Las Colinas) is majority hispanic. Irving has the largest minority population of all of Dallas' suburbs, it also has the largest quantity of apartments. If you are looking for an area with a lot of hispanics, then go to South Irving which means south of 183. Check out along Irving Blvd. Be cautious though, Irving charges huge property taxes for homes, yet the entire city is continually becoming run down.

check out what the IRving city council wants to do to get rid of all the illegals--it is a haven for them--they will rent a house and have twice the number of people who should be there move in--
gang banger territory and it would not surprise me if there were major drug syndicates as well--- although I am sure many of the Hispanics there are just as tired and terrified of them as anyone living elsewhere...

Default any suggestions welcomed and highly appreciated...

Looking for an affordable apartment has really gotten painful. I am not concerned about southeast asians as much as for Hispanics. The look the men give women is scary...not sure what they intend to but their stare is very uncomfortable.
Being a single female, I do not move into a ghetto obviously. I feel like I am back to square one...
Which would be the best place to reside if one has to work in Dallas(Southwest Medical Center)??

Not Irving!

I'd look for a nice complex in Dallas itself if I were you. What's your budget?
