Did anyone hear them? They were supposed to sound at 12pm today in Richardson, and I didn't hear anything.

Cities test run sirens on the first Wed of the month at noon. Been doing it forever.

Were you inside Mayflowers? The ones around here are intended to be warnings to take cover for those inside. They are not designed to be heard if you are inside already, although if you live near one you can probably hear it. I'm right by one in Murphy so I do hear it, but people at the other end of my neighborhood have to be outside to hear it.

The fire departments around here (who manage those) all recommend getting the weather radios for in-home use.
