Love Dallas but -
Currently living zip 75204, very nice but turns out the prop locator moved us into the frat house....
I know the area pretty well now but need more specifics.
Where can my husband and I (48-50), empty nesters go to rent apt. (need specific apartment complex names) first then eventually buy townhome (need specific townhome complex names). Don't want noise and kids but want to stay within 5-8 mile radius of downtown. Northern most would be like Las Colinas or Plano and that is alittle to far north. Afraid to ask another rental person without more insite. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP

75219 - North Oak Lawn & Turtle Creek Blvd corridors. Great location but more grown up & refined than Uptown. For rentals, try the high rises along Turtle Creek. You'll prob need to work with a realtor but the landlord will pay the agent's commission, not you. Depending on your budget there are lots of great choices.

If you like the area, you'll find many townhome options for purchase in North Oak Lawn (north of Lemmon, west of Oak Lawn) and in the neighborhood tucked behind The Mansion (east of Oak Lawn). Prices range from about $175k up to the millions.
