I've got some relatives visiting from England. They don't want to stay in a hotel, and were wondering if there was some sort of apartment/condo/home they could rent for a week. We live in the Plano area, so we'd prefer it be close to us. It would be nice if there was stuff within walking distance of them too, which is kinda a lot to ask in the Plano area.

They just wanted something more homely than a hotel. The reason they can't stay with us is that we are throwing a surprise 50th birthday party for my mom, so they have to hide up until the party and since we possibly have about 7 people coming, it's way too much for one house. 2 will be staying with us, so the other 5 need a place to stay.

Thanks in advance.

VRBO Texas Lakes Vacation Rentals by Owner, Vacation Home Rentals in Texas and Lake Condo Rentals, Texas Lake Rentals on VRBO

You could also look for other areas. We love VRBO for vacations.

Bed and breakfast? Around in north texas but a bit of a drive from Plano.

Otherwise one of the upscale extended stay hotels, with a roomier, deluxe suite with separate bedrooms and kitchen, real utensils, fridge, and microwave may be somewhat less cookie-cutter and hotel-like. Maybe not more home-like but more contemporary...or tolerable.

Book Extended-Stay Hotel Accommodations | Staybridge Suites

We have used the Staybridge Suites behind Central Market. Very nice rooms and a great breakfast. Kitchens with full size fridge, microwave, cook-top, dishwasher.
