Could you provide any advice for the fastest and best high speed (wireless broadband) internet providers in Irving,TX (75038 Zip code)

I currently have Timewarner and not that satisfied with their service... for eg., Internet access during peek hours, dropping of the VOIP calls etc.,

Regards!

Either Verizon Fios or ATT Uverse (Fiber Optic) should service your area. I'm in 75039 and have ATT for TV and Internet and it's all good. I'd prefer FIOS but don't have the option.

Why would you prefer FIOS over ATT?

The reason I ask is because I have FIOS, am happy with it but might need to switch to ATT. That's because the 2 year promotional contract with Verizon is about to expire and Verizon will soon jack up my rates really high. All they are offering is a measly $10/month customer loyalty discount. The final rate will be way higher than what is offered on their website to new Customers. Not sure if there is a way around this.

Usually Verizon & Att have "territories" where they service with their fiber optic service. I had FIOS when I lived in Coppell and like the programming a little better. Uverse is good and really have no complaints.

ATT Uverse recently tried to jack up my prices. I called and very seriously asked to talk to who handles their customer retention. I told that person they had 1 shot at giving me a price to keep me around and she gave me a lower rate than my "Introductory Rate". Not only did they go down, they gave me a better deal completely.

Just play hard ball and threaten to leave. They don't want that.

We live in Coppell (area code 75019) and looking to switch from AT&T DSL, could someone offer a great choice for high speed internet at a good price with great service?
Thanks

I had Verizon FiOS for almost 3 years when living in Irving and had 0 days of outage. It's no brainer to choose go elsewhere if you have FiOS in the hood.
