Hello,
Relocating family of four (kids age 8 and 13) looking to rent a 3or 4 bedroom single family home in a safe, family friendly area with good schools for around $1000-$1200 per mo.. My husband's office will be in Irving, so a short (30 min. or so) commute is preferrable. Any suggestions on areas, not really sure where to begin! Thanks for any suggestions.

North Carrollton -- zip 75006
Flower Mound -- very good area but lowest I see for a house is $1300
Valley Ranch (Irving) 75063 but your price range won't get a house
Euless - best locations in zip 76039
Hurst - look north of hwy 183 if possible
Bedford

Other great areas but out of your budget: Grapevine, Colleyville, Coppell, Highland Village

Might find in your budget but schools are questionable -- you would need to check out specific schools: Irving zip 75062 and 75061, Dallas 75229, Lewisville, Grand Prairie

Best search website I recommend is zillow.com because you can actually filter for rent houses.

Carrollton in 75007 is doable and close to Irving. We rent a 3300 SF 4 BDR for not much more than that.

I'd call a realtor and get them looking for you. They will also provide you good local info.
