I've had a rough week and need a quick cheap getaway. I've been here several times before, but I accidentally thought that the state fair was going on in september, turns out it's in october. However, after hearing after several friends going down for the gay pride this weekend, I could check that out.

However, what else is going on? Any notable concerts, or old town days (in the same vein as the state fair, only smaller)? Here in KC every major suburb does their old town type carnival, I imagine many of the major suburbs down here do the same thing? I did have fun at the Bedford 4th of July (don't ask, my friend's local friends led us there, whereas I wanted to hit up Fair Park), would anything major be going on there? Though it's likely I'll be too busy at pride, I'd like to check out other things maybe as well.

EDIT: Likely change of plans. I'll likely go in two weeks instead. Friday will in this case be booked, Saturday will be State Fair, but are there other events going on as well?

Unofficial gay day at six flags Saturday. Grapevine has Grapefest.
