Hi Everybody !
We moved here in August and I was wondering if there are any farm pumpkin patches around here within an hours drive? The kind with corn Mazes, scarecrow building, hayrides.....all that fun stuff? Thanks so much to all who answer!

Last year, we went out to Flower Mound down 1171/Main St and there were several pumpkin patches and things to do like rides and bounce houses too. I can't remember the names of them, but they are usually listed in the paper under the events for the month/week.

.
Here's a great site for DFW with a long list for pumpkin patches, corn mazes and hayrides, etc.
- See:
Dallas / Fort Worth and surrounding counties in Texas Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes, Hayrides and More, Find Halloween and Fall Fun in Texas!

However, as stated, DO call before visiting to insure that they are open for this season, as it appears some have not been updated in a while.

This one is a lot of fun! I've gotten lost in the cornfield maze with my nephews several times! Bring a flashlight!

You can't take the pumpkins home, but the Dallas Arboretum puts on a spectacular autumn display every year. This year, it's even better with the Chihuly glass scupltures on display.

There is a pumpkin patch (understatement), pumpkin search scavenger hunt, hay bale maze, pumpkin village featuring houses completely made of pumpkins & gourds. Check the page below as there are many special weekday and weekend events that are a part of Autumn at the Arboretum (kids & family events, special late night hours during the week, etc.).

I've been to the one in Celina, both in Flower Mound (the feuding ones next door to each other), Hall's in Grapevine, and the Arboretum. I'm a little pumpkin obsessed.

I wish we could get a real corn maze around here, though!

Hal's has a corn maze. Not sure what's not "real" about that one...?

I've been to Hall's and one of the pumpkin patches in Flower Mound. Both are great. If you're coming from 121 near Grapevine Mills, the 2 in Flower Mound are a pretty good drive from the freeway. The best part about the 2 that I've been to is that you can go and take pics and not spend a dime. Hall's has an awesome corn maze. My teenage nephew and I paid to go through it twice last year. Hall's (and I assume any pumpkin patch) get crazy busy on weekend evenings.
