Does anyone know of any CDL school in Dallas either independent or affiliated with a tractor trailer company?

Try Stephens or Schneider. They are both freight lines but I believe they may train. You can always get the book for free at the DPS office and take your written test anytime then rent a truck from UHaul or Ryder to use for the road test.

Default C1 Truck Driver Training - Fort Worth

C1 Truck Driver Training over in Fort Worth works with several different trucking companies that offer company-paid CDL training. They work with PAM Transport, USA Truck, and Averitt and have a 3 week long truck driver training school. They help you choose the best job opportunity. And the trucking companies even give you some cash during trucking school to help with expenses like license fees, etc.

You can check out the program at Truck Driving School at Driver Solutions: CDL Training School, Truck Driver Training School, Truck Driver School, CDL School to see all the trucking companies and the how the cdl training program works.

Good luck!

Default Cdl Training

True You Have To Be 21 To Get A Cdl If You Are Doing 48 States, But Not If You Are Going To Be Instate And Drive Only In That One State

Default Stephens or Schneider

It's true, both Stephens and Schneider do train their drivers. But you're essentially an "endentured servant" for a year (maybe longer now). You will be paid next to nothing, kept out on the road in the opposite part of the country from where you live and if you quit, that "free" training costs you a fortune. Beware.
