Thanks for posting Naima... just heard this on the news this evening... so sad! Our condolences to all of his family, friends, and fans... he'll always be remembered as Dallas' infamous star, J.R.!

The "Who shot J.R.?" episode still remains the 2nd most watched TV show of all times.

RIP, we so enjoyed your performances!

Man that was sudden! I HATE that - so sad! Wonder how it will undoubtedly affect the filming of/success of the new Dallas show?

But I thought if one had cancer (and it was bad enough to finally kill you), that it would have one lingering for quite a while very near death, not kill one suddenly. It's surprising to me to hear that he was out & about and apparently filming Dallas episodes so recently.

P.S. - Don't forget about Major Nelson!

RIP - Larry Hagman.

My father was in relatively good shape with his leukemia until about a week before he chose to go into hospice. It was the daily, rather than 2-3 times a week, blood transfusion that had him make that call. The transfusions did a decent job, but it was emotionally trying on him. Once he made the decision, he was gone within the week.

Larry Hagman meant a lot to Dallas both the City and the TV show.

I would look forward to his appearances on the new series...I delighted with glee when he delivered lines such as, "that gal is crazier than a sewer rat".

He will be missed - I have seen so many tributes to him on Facebook, so it's not just us...

Indeed sir! I (sort of) remember a similar but different line. It just seems somehow unreal. I sure hope the vibe of the new Dallas show is strong enough to survive this!
