Out of curiosity, if you had one day left in Dallas before moving what do you do? Where do you go to eat, etc? I'm using Friday as my last full day here and trying to figure out my last dining and other stops. I'll probably have some Lockhart or Pecan Lodge for lunch and then drinks that evening somewhere - could be in Denton, not sure.

Today I hit Kuby's for lunch so I can cross that off my list.

Go over to Fort Worth, and have lunch at The Woodshed, and dinner at Reata. It's a meatpalooza kind of day...

Meat is good. I've been wanting to check out Woodshed but if the prices are anything like Love Shack in Denton, I'll pass.

If it were a little warmer, take a guided canoe or kayak tour through the Trinity Forest in downtown Dallas. I'd never travel to Dallas specifically to do that, but I'd do it once if I lived here. Since I do live here, I can't wait until my kid is old enough to go with me.

If the trains are out at North Park, I'd see that too. Finally catch a game at Cowboys Stadium, or just do a tour. I think the Seahawks Stadium out in Seattle is the only one that even kind of compares architecturally as far as NFL stadiums go.

For food, it would be Joe T Garcias in Ft Worth, not because it's that great but because it's huge and such an experience to eat there.

Steak at III Forks, or Nick and Sams. If you choose Nick and Sams, then afterwards you're close by to all the hot spots in Uptown to grab a drink afterwards, not to mention seeing the Dallas skyline one more time at night. Or, head to 560, and really take in the view.

I thought about Nick and Sam's but all my nice clothes are packed and it's too expensive. I am going to hit Maple and Motor tonight. Great ideas!
