Hello,

I'm looking for nice areas in Dallas for a retired person. Just need a small house someplace quiet, safe and nice where home prices and taxes are not through the roof. Most importantly is low crime. I'm hoping to find someplace within 20 minutes of the 75252 zip code. I've browsed some houses online in Plano and Richardson... are there other areas anyone can suggest?

Another option would be to rent for a while but I heard you should stay away from apartment complexes. Is it true? If not, then maybe someone can recommend good places to rent. Thanks.

Frankford Rd, just west of UT-Dallas. Sounds like a commute from the far east of the county to get what he wants.

Gonna be really hard to find an inexpensive house to buy in a nice safe neighborhood within 20 minutes of a very expensive area of N. Dallas. Kinda like having your cake and eating it too. Good luck.
