Know it well. I was D.C. waterfront by the EPA (S.W.) before it went high-rent district.

I still say Uptown (while a bit younger than it used to be) is decently priced and central to pretty much everything. It's also the one place with alot of foot traffic.

Uptown and turtle creek are excellent places to meet people especially other singles, but it's almost totally apartment living. There are nice townhouse rentals in that area (75219)
