I looked at Snadia Peak, but there were no flights early enough to meet the challenge.

It looks like Denver is the best bet, as it has a combination of earliest flight times and proximity to to the airport, plus a one hour time zone bonus. You can fly out on American, early morning. Tickets are about $100 for a one way. The return flight on Spirit is about 1/2 that, and you land before midnight.

If you did all American, you'd be looking at $250 round trip, PP, and you're home in time for dinner.

Things should get more interesting once Southwest gets unrestricted flights late next year.

You can do SWA for $200 RT plus fees with a plan ahead. Shuttles are $80 each way. A cheap car rental is $50.

Problem with Sandia is the runs are short. Best go to CO for longer runs.
