I usually purchase my airline ticket before I check out their paint jobs, check underneath their hoods and kick their tires around. Have I been doing this wrong?

Not at all as a consumer... But AA had such an opportunity here, and BLEW it IMHO. This is marketing, and bad marketing at that (again, IMHO).

Nope, still gonna find the cheapest flight that's going the way i'm going, and go with whoever that is......bad paint job or not. Their bad marketing is in their crappy esprit de corps amongst their employees.

Nice, clean look.

All I see when I look at that new logo is the huge waste of money. One more way to screw the people of AA. Why not restructure first THEN rebrand? Ugh.

They could have the most awesome logo on earth and they'd still suck as an airline.

The tail is really bad. Looks like a paint scheme on an airliner on a cheap "made for TV" movie.

I guess the guy on the tails of Alaska Air was already taken.

Really, this looks like a bad consumer focus group, an egotistic CEO, some really cool ad agency on Madison Avenue, or just "group think" gone awry. Awful.
