We are also looking for a caring/experienced nanny/baby sitter who can come home to take care of our son. We will need help weekdays from 8 to 5.

Also could someone suggest a good in home daycare for my 3 month old. I don't want it to be a crowded place....limited to 3 kids max, as he is still very small.

We live in Coppell, and are looking for daycare around this area....Irving,ValleyRanch,Lewisville.

Thank you.

Ask your parents and hubby's parents if they are retired, to do it for the sake of their namesake and extra monthly income. My father took an early retirement and moved in with us. He didn't agree to accept our money but he takes care of children and we have promised to take care of him in his old age.
Ask your neighbors, may be they themselves are interested or have a person in mind whom they trust. Ask people you work with for recommendations. Leave flyers in your place of worship, may be some one you know is available.

There is no one who can do it better than you so see if you can make it work for an year or two without work and one pay check. In some cases if you deduct child are expense, your own commute, lunch and wardrobe expenses then there is little incentive to put a baby in a stranger's hands who is juggling 3-4 babies at the same time. Ask your husband if he would like to be a stay at home dad for an year or two and may be teach at community college in evenings. Women need to explore all options with an open mind. Day care is not your only choice.

Maybe you should read this - Devon Corneal: What Not to Say to a Working Mom - before judging this poster who is asking for NANNY & DAYCARE recommendations, NOT YOUR OPINION on whether she should work or stay home. Sheesh.

I am a working mom of three children. I can not judge her, just giving advice to explore every option so she can find a solution suitable for herself and her family. We are becoming a one track society where either you work and send your baby to the day care or leave job to stay home until last child is off to grade school. There are other less traveled routes.
