Hey guys -

Any lots available in Southlake? Looking at Palomar Estates because I see some open lots there. I know Stratford Park has 1 lot left but it's with Larry Stewart Homes...

Anything else that MLS may not know about?

The deal with Carillon fell through on my end... found out that they brought in tract builders and I didn't want to build custom there anymore.

Just buy an existing one and safe yourself from all the stress. There are some really nice properties on market. You'll end up spending more than what you intend on a custom build so just up your price range and find some gem.

Try westmont in colleyville. The houses are all very custom , and they have strict HOA rules to keep the houses looking timeless forever...

Pinipig, I've been reading your posts and it's sounds like we're doing a very similar home (lot) search. I too have been scouring Southlake (also considering Flower Mound) and haven't found much. Have you considered Westlake? Some of the new subdivisions feed into both Carroll and Westlake Academy (arguably even better than Carroll). They are pricey lots though, >$500K for 1 acre.

Another thought - many here buy the smaller older homes for the lots/acreage, level them and then custom build. We live north of 114 and see it all the time. I could rattle off 3 that I know of within a 2 mile radius of us right now. Moral - you might do a search by price for homes and see if there are any low end properties with great lots and follow the trend. There is also a new neighborhood being built right now at Dove road and Carroll Ave just west of the Carroll admin bldg, not sure on lot size or builders but you might check it out. I know there are also lots in Clariden Ranch but not sure of your pricerange. Good luck!
