I like this Plano house but have yet to see it in person. I like it because it reminds me of the interiors of the many high end chicago condos... not sure if that's a good thing for a house in Plano.. but I feel like I do like it.

3512 Watercrest Dr Plano TX - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - MLS #11896814 - Realtor.com®

Thoughts on this one?

Do you think this type of interior makes it a difficult sell (resale)?

But I really REALLY do like this type of interior...

You should buy what you like. You have to live there.

I have noticed in 24 years of living here that contemporary has a harder time selling...unless the buyer (like yourself) comes along who likes that!

I hate this house, the one you posted in Colleyville had way more curb appeal. Looks like they were trying to balance traditional and contemporary styles, and it didn't work for me. This one does have a nice pool and media room, but Preston is too busy to be backed up to.

If this was in my budget I would ABSOLUTELY live here. This is SO up my alley...but our budget is half this unfortunately. Wonderful schools. I would not hesitate. In Brooklyn, NY this house would cost in the millions!

I echo Ronnie...in this area, Lakeside has never been my cup of tea.

But that's irrelevant to the discussion of house style.

1 for and 1 against.... hmm...

I just don't want to jump into it especially if it has a hard time in resale.

The price is just right for us... especially if I can get it closer to $700K. It would be a deal for me.

I am trying to schedule an appointment to see it this monday... I drove by there and surprisingly, the road noise was not noticeable from the front of the house (not sure how it is from the back yard). Lots of trees in the neighborhood... too bad the garage is an alley in the back..

Nothing's perfect I guess.

Plus PGBT was kinda traffic at 6pm... going east.

The neighborhood that house is in.
Less established, less mature trees, kind of a weird sterile look, more alley parking...

Oh, god, no!!!

I am not saying it's not good.
It is a perfectly nice neighborhood that lots of people love.
There are some very nice homes there.

It's just not my cup of tea.
