Richardson pros - established area, established schools, established programs, closer into Dallas if you have to commute, diverse economically, generationally, racially and cultural (some would see that as a con), DART train access, mom and pop shops and restaurants, Keeping up with the Joneses isn't an issue, strong traditions and sense of history, smaller schools

Richardson cons - some areas not good so you have to be careful when buying, very little new construction if that's something you want, most housing built 1960s-80s, no Lifetime fitness closeby, public pools are old and none are indoors.

Frisco pros - sparkling new and clean, everything is new, houses, stores, schools, residents, new, new, new, lots and lots of kids, kids in almost every house, Stonebriar Mall is fabulous as far as malls go, lots of major name retail shopping and eating, new rec center just opened with indoor pool, Lifetime Fitness neaby

Frisco cons - lack of mom and pop stores and restaurants, a tad homogenous as far as diversity and what the homes look like and what schools look like, distance from Dallas if you are commuting is far, you have to pay to get out of Frisco on the tollway and on 121, no mass transportation (some would see that as a pro), keep up with the Joneses issues abound, still establishing city services, shifting school attendance zones, TRAFFIC issues, Lord, major traffic issues, lack of character, soul and a sense of history (will come in time).

there is a Lifetime Fitness in Garland near Garland Avenue and 190, it's just around the corner from Richardson.

There is a tad far from a lot of Richardson, particularly western Richardson near Pearce High School.

True but for those that live on the newer side of Richardson on the east side in and around Breckinridge Park it is VERY close as is all of the shopping & restaurants in the Firewheel area and mall. Even if someone lived right around 75 in Richardson they could be at the LifeTime Fitness in Garland in 10 minutes. It could take much longer than that to get to one closer to home in Frisco

There is also an L.A. Fitness under construction across from where Richardson Square Mall used to me. They tore down that old strip center and have a brand new building.

I really can't think of anything good about Frisclosure. I'm just glad I have a large block of Exxon Mobil for the fools who want to move that far north.
