Hi,

This is my first post in the forum. I am looking for a nice area to live in Grand Prairie and would like to built a home. What do you all think about Grand Peninsula. I have 2 yr old child. How is the schools down there? Are there any GT program there? Also how is the neighborhood? Any pros and cons that you can share will be greatly appreciated.

It IMO is the nicest area of GP. Most of it is in the Mansfield ISD which I would recommend.

It is a good choice and prices.

I've shown a lot of homes there and had several buyers purchase. I've never seen any homes that are taken care of that had problems.

Keep in mind any home that is neglected can have foundation issues, everywhere.

If you want to be in the southern sector, the MISD is the best in that area. I would have no problem sending my kids to those schools.

Did the builders (i.e Grand Home) give out good discount off the list price?

Homes are selling so fast there is not much discounting. My personal opinion... I would find another builder beside Grand.

Kids in that area will attend Mansfield lake ridge high school. Very diverse area with it being more black and Hispanic followed by white. Nice pretty area. Homes went up quick. Neighborhood is excellent. Personally I think the homes are overpriced for the area. It all depends on your budget and how much you are willing to pay.
