My 7 year old son needs eye surgery for intermittent strabismus. We have only seen one doctor in the DFW area ( since we moved from out of state, we had seen several out of state) and we were planning to use this doctor for the surgery but I am wondering if there are other doctors out there that are highly recommended? I haven't met anyone whose child needs the same surgery and don't know who to ask.
Does any one here know of a great pediatric opthamolgist/surgeon and have any experiences to share or recommendations?

Thank you!

Dr. Stager was also recommended to us by our pediatric opthalmologist when we moved to DFW from out of state last summer.

Our ophthalmologist friend picked Dr Stager for his child so when we needed one, it was an easy choice and we were 100% satisfied with his services.

Has anyone been a patient of or heard good things about Dr. George Beauchamp?

Dr. Weakley in Dallas. I had strabismus surgery done at age 19, and it went very well. Can be hard to get into, at the time he was one of two doctors in DFW that did the surgery on adults as well as children.

My daughter had surgery with Dr. David Weakley. We really like him and he has offices in Plano at Children's Legacy and downtown at Childrens.
