So I am thinking about accepting a job in Rockwall but I am wondering if there are any apartments with in about 30 minutes of Rockwall that would be a cool place to live. I have looked around Rockwall and not found many apartments, I am 28 single so I would like some with other people like me. If anybody has any recommendations I would appreciate it.

Take a look at a scenario of Deep Ellum to Rockwall - 23 miles on I-30 reverse commute. Depending on actual destination, work hours, comments on that commute.

I'm not saying to land in Deep Ellum, but it might head towards the direction you seek.

You're right that there are very few apartments in Rockwall, and there's hardly any singles scene. The Harbor is about the only "fun" in town, and even that is geared more towards families... Have you looked at the ones at Chandlers Landing, and at The Harbor? That's really the best I can think of.

There's honestly not much within 30 minutes drive, and to go further than that will become a long drive pretty quickly. Uptown Dallas would be too far away and your spend a fortune in gas. DH and I used to live around White Rock Lake, but that would honestly be pushing the edge of your 30 minutes, and it wasn't all that much different than what you'd get in Rockwall. There's nothing in Mesquite or Garland that's remotely cool, and many of those apartments are pretty old and not very nice. To me, Deep Ellum would also be too far...

Deep Ellum would be a pretty long commute but it looking like that might be a better option, does anyone know anything about parkside at firewheel, I found those doing a google search they don't look to bad.

Your commute would involve a toll road, which would get pretty expensive on a daily basis. Firewheel is really just a shopping center in a suburban area. It's not a nightlife spot by any stretch of the imagination.
