Just wondering if anyone out there was a resident of the Casa View Haven neighborhood? Bordered by Gus Thomasson to the north, Ferguson to the east, Peavy to the south and Zacha to the west. I know the Morning News named it a neighborhood on the rise when they were profiling areas in east Dallas. Seems there will be a nice block of homes then the next block is a bit run down. I have seen some nice remodels in the area and the prices seem reasonable. I know would be a challenge, but we're considering switching to Catholic school anyhow.

It would be great to hear from current residents of this area and their opinions of its current state.

I'm a former resident of Little Forest Hills, which borders this. The houses in this area are mostly nice, but it is still very much in transition. The problem is the low rent/Section 8 apartments in the area. They bring a lot of undesirable things, such as petty crime. So your concern is not unfounded...
