Hello,

We are considering relocating to Dallas area from northeast. Wrestling program in high school is one important factor in decision making process with regard to area we choose. We know Allen is #1 so we'll be looking there but need to consider other towns. What are other schools in Dallas suburbs have good wrestling programs? Where do high schoolers go to train if they want to wrestle year round?

Thanks,
wrestlingmom

Plano West and HP. You also can reach out to Keegan Muller of D1Fit. He is an HPISD graduate that wrestled at Ohio State and UNC. He also couched a D1 wrestling program for a few years before opening his own CrossFit gym in Dallas.

Thank you for that info.

Are there any 4A schools that could be considered to have "intensive" programs (not Frisco)?

OP I have nothing specific to add.....

DFW/Texas high school wrestling has come a long way over the last 10/15 years. That said it remains non-competitive versus say Oklahoma and other wrestling hotbeds.

The area does have some spectacular young coaches.
