How would you compare Horizon to David Weekley as a Builder on Quality?

* Interior, Exterior, Foundation. *

We owned a David Weekley for seven years.

We just want to know is Horizon a notch or two above or below Weekley?

Thanks!!!

Horizon is the entry level product for Highland Homes. You will still get a good quality built home without the "fluff", that's where the price difference is.

Thank you. Based on this information I would have to saw Horizon must be at a minimum just as good if not better than our other builder Weekley.

Horizon is a lower end product than Weekley. Weekley is closer to Highland homes than to Horizon...

I agree that Horizon is lower end than Weekley, by far! Highland is mid-level, Horizon is their low end, and Huntington is their high end. Weekley is just weekley and doesn't have any sister companies in between anything.

Horizon would be almost barebones whereas Highland would have bells and whistles.

At the beginning of this post, Horizon was cited as just as quality as Highland without the fluff.

When talking about Quality of Foundation, Materials Interior Frame, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Roof and Exterior how does Horizon compare to Highland?

(Also, I'll start a new post. Thanks!)

I haven't had any experience with Horizon but Highland and Huntington are really solid builders so my guess is that they wouldn't risk their good name by cutting corners in Horizon.

For all those materials, they're the same. They're getting their stuff from the same manufacturers. There are only so many manufacturers who make the stuff. But with that, most of the builders are all getting their stuff from the same manufacturers.

They all have to pass the same codes and inspections. A frame has to be done per code. Just because a builder charges less or more doesn't mean he can skimp on the framing or the foundation or anything else that makes a house function as a house.

The OP's questions are veering towards libelous so it is closed.
