Where can we see 4th of July's fireworks in Plano or somewhere close by?

Frisco's Fireworks are at the stadium on Main St & DNT. Many people park at Main Event and tail-gate. There is some interference from the ballpark lights but not too bad, I am told.

Addison Texas

Kaboom Town in Addison is pretty cool! It's on Wed, July 3 this year and is a fireworks presentation set to patriotic music. You can hear the music if you're in the park itself. If you park around the perimeter of the Addison airport, you can tune your radio to 100.3 FM for the soundtrack.

Go to Oak Point Nature reserve for fireworks, music and parade on 4th. Haggard park is throwing a 3rd of July bash.

I'll second Kaboom town, it's the best display you'll find in all of North Texas. The main problem with Kaboom town is that everyone knows it now, and getting in and out is a royal pain. One year, it took us about 2 hours to get from the parking garage to Plano after the show was over. If you're going to go there, go early, park in a place with easy access to get out and back on a main road, and it's not so bad. Or, stay at a bar for an hour or two after the show ends.

I'll second this..After last year, we probably will not go back because of the traffic and parking situation alone..It is miserable and the bars get incredibly packed afterwards with everyone having the same idea!

Last year, we went on the 4th to Fair Park and much easier trip..Take the Dart right to the Park and seating is in the Cotton Bowl. You need to get a wristband which is distributed a couple of hours before (free) at the gate if you want to get into the Bowl, but lot of people also were in cars in the surrounding lots. Really nice show and much easier than the Addison traffic.

Plano puts on a fantastic display of fireworks at Oak Point, also Richardson's Breckenridge Park is a nice place to see fireworks. You can go to Frisco if you are at that end of Plano. Addison and Lakewood are a bit far from you but equally good options.
