hello chaps,

Can anyone suggest a really nice spa type hotel in or near Dallas? I've got some friends coming over from the UK and I'm looking for somewhere we could stay that is a bit special.
We have a Four Seasons spa hotel near us at home and I was wondering if there's anything like that in the area? Or a health farm/boutique hotel? Do you have those over here? I'm thinking treatments, lovely restaurant, nice grounds, maybe some shooting? lol! just kidding. Be so grateful if you have any suggestions.

I've heard really good things about the Crescent Hotel Spa in uptown, but I've never stayed there or used it, but I do like the great restaurants all around it.

I've stayed at the ZaZa three times, and had spa service once. It was nice, but don't have an up to date recommendation. The one in Houston is also really nice

There's a Four Seasons in Las Colinas, and I'm sure it's really good too.

You could try the Crescent, Ritz Carlton, Hotel ZaZa, the W or the Mansion on Turtle Creek.

Have fun.

Omni? Stoneleigh is pretty nice, too.

Nope, sorry, to answer your post....not a single nice hotel in Dallas.

Oh, but a nice resort that has a great Texan flavor is the Gaylord near Dallas. Its fun! http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...gaylord-texan/

Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center: Vacation Resorts in Grapevine

The Gaylord Texan has all of that...except for the shooting part! There's a water park for families, several very good restaurants, a nightclub overlooking a beautiful lake, and a wonderful spa.

The Mansion sounds closest to what your looking for - amazing restaurant, in a park-like setting, beautiful terrace for drinks, etc. Spectacular service.

The Crescent is probably the second nicest hotel in Dallas but it doesn't have any "grounds" to speak of. Very dense urban setting. Several top notch restaurants, a boutique department store, the best spa in Dallas, and again spectacular service as it and the Mansion are both under the same ownership.

Mansion or Crescent Court would be my picks, although the spa at the Crescent is sorely in need of updating. Mansion has the "grounds" you are looking for in a close to everything location.
