Have you considered Southwest Airlines? Sure, they don't have direct flights at the moment due to the Wright amendment but once it expires next year Southwest will likely not waste much time setting up flights from DAL to LGA.

I also recommend Southwest. You won't find their rates on any of the major travel sites, and there are no direct flights to Dallas.

If you're ok with transferring in Houston, and book a few weeks in advance, you can find deals around $220-$250 pp RT.

I happen to have a boatload of SW points and the $220 RT flight came out to only 12,000 points, or the equivalent of $120 each way.

Default Thank You

Thank You all very much for your responses. We found relatively inexpensive multi-city (mening LGA>>>DFW>>>LGA) tix. This time we'll have to travelt all together b/c of my older dtr's birthday, but yes, in the future looks like taking turns kind of deal. If SouthWest takes us there direct this sure will be a welcome news. Still waiting for Jetblue to start nonstop service. They fly to DFW from BOS, why not NY LOL? Just our luck. Anyway, Thank You all .

It would be nice if JetBlue flew direct to DFW from JFK or LGA... but either way, from a price point they are overpriced, IMHO.

Once upon a time they were competatively priced. Every now and then they still are. But direct TV in my face beats lots of other things in my face so I don't notice them as much. Especially when traveling with small kids. Though nowerdays I-Pads/Pods and pans LOL could do the trick. We did alright on Delta flight a couple of weeks ago.
