Anyone know any good places in North Dallas to buy live blue crabs?

Your in Carrollton? Super H Mart probably has them. It's off GBT and Old Denton.

+1 for Super H Mart...they've got a decent selection of fresh seafood.

Asian super market. I'll throw Ranch 99 (Spring Creek & 75) and Hong Kong Super Market (E Dallas off of Walnut St or Arlington)

I've been to Super H mart but their crabs are usually small to medium. I don't know if that changes come August or so. I went there last year in the summer.... I can't remember the month though and they crabs were mostly small. Will have to give them another shot in August when they are the fullest

I get them at Fiesta all the time. They have them out in a bin and you pick the ones you want so you know they are alive when you get them.

I'm from Maryland and I would call them medium to medium large. Usually pretty good price through. They price them by the pound which is odd but I think I got a dozen for like $10-$15

This thread is making me HUNGRY! I grew up on the central Gulf Coast and watched my mom clean countless crabs... Something I could NEVER do myself (GROSS!). I'll just have to keep trusting restaurants to choose my crab for me!
