Hello everyone,

I hope you will be able to help me. My husband's office is moving to the Tower at CityPlace in Uptown Dallas. We currently live in Euless and would like to move closer to his office. We are looking for 2 bedroom condo r apartment around this area, not necessary right next to it, but close enough to commute easily every day. Our price range is 1200-1400$. Do you think it is possible for us to find something decent in that area and family friendly?

Thank you in advance!!!

You should be able to find any number of 2 bedroom condo's or apt's in that area, on either side of US75. On the Uptown side there's town homes and apartments from State/Thomas near downtown up to Knox/Henderson. These are between US75 and Turtle Creek. If you want to venture across Turtle Creek you might find rents a bit less in the area between Lemmon Ave and Oak Lawn Ave, up to Highland Park. The northern most street in that area being Hawthorne.

You just need to drive around to shop for a place. Take paper to write down addresses, take a cell phone to make a call if you see a for rent sign.

Good luck

Personally, I'd just hop on the TRE every morning and ride the train in from the Centreport Station. Change trains to the red line at Victory, and you're all set.

Thank you Willsson! That's what I am planning to do. I have 2 months to find a new place so I will take my sweet time and try to find the best option for us. Thank you again for your advice and area recommendations!

Thank you Christie. It would work for me, but I have a 2 year old, who is currently at "terrible 2" stage, so I mostly drive my car everywhere. And I doubt my husband will ride at a train, he is too attached to his car lol. If I was single I would definitely use trains.
