Wild Salsa!!
I had a great vegetarian tamale there. Interesting place. Not too expensive.

I'm vegetarian (not vegan). I always have a good experience and full stomach at Si Tapa, in part because they take actual vegetables seriously. I'm also more of nibbler, so not having an "entree" doesn't bother me, and the excellent sangria helps fill the gaps. I also have a don't ask, don't tell policy on flat top, kettle sharing, etc.

YMMV

Not sure where you stand on Greek food, but Ziziki's (on Travis) is a pretty good date restaurant. Not too loud, not too expensive, quality food, lots of options including vegetarian.

There's also a cool tapas/mediterranean place in Uptown called Baboush that has amazing atmosphere and would be first-date-worthy.

I'd recommend Taverna off Knox in Uptown.

Pomodoro Arcodoro in uptown by crescent court?

Social house or flying saucer (German food) in Addison during non-happy hours?
