Finance Jobs. Looking to relocate soon and wanted to get an idea of the job market and salaries for someone in Finance (near or within reasonable, 25 minutes or less, driving distance from McKinney). 10+ years experience as Senior Analyst which includes 8+ years in manufacturing and 2 years in sales. Plan on contacting a recruiter but want to see if anyone on here might be able to give me their point of view. What is the job market like? Competition, turnover and stability of the market/companies, etc? Salaries in the area? Thanks in advance.

I used to be an analyst several years ago, for someone with my experience (8 years at the time), the going rate was around 65-70k. There are a lot more companies in Plano for that than you'll find in either Frisco or McKinney.

I never had a difficult time finding a job in the area (Dallas and Plano), but I grew up here and knew someone already working for the companies I applied for in each case, and I'm sure that helped significantly.

Times are different now though, I'm no longer an analyst, and got into sales. From what I hear, you have to be extremely overqualified for a given position to even have a shot.
